The Chippewas have five home Saturday games this fall, and want to turn game days around Kelly/Shorts into a weekend destination for Michiganders.

Mt. Pleasant — Matt Drinkall has a vision for what home games at Kelly/Shorts Stadium can, and in his mind, should look like.

“I'm coming up to Central,” he said in an interview with Mitten Football, putting himself in the shoes of a generic fan. “They're gonna have stuff for me to do. There's gonna be a farmer's market out there. It's great weather, it's a good time. Good use, like — the student section turns out, you know. I mean, that's what we've got to get.”

With five home Saturday games this fall — vs. Colgate, Wyoming, Akron, Western Michigan and Miami (OH) —  all before October, Drinkall is raring to try and fire up the attendance for Central Michigan.
