Eastern Michigan hunts cleaner run game vs. SJSU: ‘Minor details become major issues’
The Eagles struggled to run the ball in what was otherwise a strong debut, and head coach Chris Creighton discussed how it can improve this week.
Eastern Michigan emerged winners in Week 0, but Eastern Michigan head coach Chris Creighton, if he were assigning grades, handed out bad marks for the “group project” that was a relatively stagnant run game.
“So, we did not run the ball like we need to run the ball, but it's always a group project when you're talking about the running game,” Creighton said at his weekly press conference on Monday.
