Chris Creighton shares impressions of Michigan State’s opener: ‘They were in control’
The EMU head coach had high praise for MSU's quarterback and the way the Spartans controlled the game, despite a close score, vs. Toledo.
Ypsilanti — When he watches Michigan State on tape, Chris Creighton sees a team that knows what it wants to do.
Creighton and his EMU program never faced MSU head coach Pat Fitzgerald during his time at Northwestern, but the Eagles head coach thinks the new man in charge of the Spartans has brought a similar mindset.
“They wanna, you know, control the game. Establish the run, right? And then play tough, hard nose defense. So that’s — you can see that crystal clear,” Creighton said.
