As CMU’s offense sputters out of the gate, Matt Drinkall hears the noise
The Chippewas have struggled offensively through two games, something nobody within the program is in denial about.
Mt. Pleasant — After 20 points in two weeks, Central Michigan head coach Matt Drinkall is not one to tell fans of the Chippewas not to air their grievances.
“Our fans should want us to score a touchdown on every possession on every play and win every game by 50 points,” Drinkall said on Tuesday. “And if we don't do that, get online and yell at me and bitch. And that's what you should do. That's part of being a fan. When the Chicago Blackhawks don't win every game by four, I'm pissed and calling my buddy, texting my buddies. I get it. That's what their job is. They're supposed to do that.”
