It's preseason awards watchlist season, and plenty of players from the Mitten State are expected to be among the best at their respective positions.

Below is a compilation of the various college football individual awards and the players for the five FBS teams in Michigan who made one of the preseason watchlists.

So far, nine watchlists have been announced and another seven are set to be released, mostly during the first full week of August.

The following preseason award watchlists are still slated to be released:

  • Biletnikoff Award (best receiver), Wednesday, Aug. 6
  • Davey O'Brien Award (best quarterback), Thursday, Aug. 7
  • Mackey Award (best tight end), Friday, Aug. 8
  • Rimington Trophy (best center), Friday, Aug. 8
  • Bednarik Award (defensive player of the year), Monday, Aug. 11

There are also a number of awards and trophies that do not release preseason watchlists: the William V. Campbell Trophy, the Stallings Award, the George Munger Award, the Eddie Robinson Award, the Disney Spirit Award, the Broyles Award, the Burlsworth Trophy and the Heisman Trophy.
