Mitten Football’s transfer tracker

College football’s free agency period is creeping up once more, as transfer portal season arrives once more. 

The NCAA has changed the time period and windows for transferring in football, going to one period, which goes from Jan. 2 to Jan. 16 for the coming year. Michigan State, having hired a new coach, can see players enter the transfer portal sooner — now, actually, since it’s been five days since the Spartans hired a new coach, Pat Fitzgerald. 

Even still, Spartans and their counterparts at the other four FBS schools are already considering their futures and some players have declared their intentions to transfer.

  • Has been away from the team since at least October, will evidently transfer

Michigan State

• RB Makhi Frazier
  • MSU’s leading rusher in 2025, the sophomore should have strong interest
• WR Nick Marsh
  • One of the top players available in the portal and will have his pick of destinations
• DB Tracy Revels
  • Transferred from BGSU but did not play in 2025
• DB Jeremiah Hughes
  • Junior transfer from LSU, played in four games in 2025
• OL Gavin Broscious
  • Featured heavily in offensive line rotation in 2025, playing all 12 games
