Editor's note: Michigan coverage

As is fairly evident, the Michigan football coverage here has been quite light. And there is a reason for that.

Basically, to date, Mitten Football isn't yet fully credentialed to cover Michigan football, though it is being worked on. And given the gist of this project is to be an outlet that brings credentialed coverage of the FBS teams in Michigan, the choice has been made to dedicate energy that would be spent on coverage of the Wolverines to the four other programs, rather than try and deign insight from afar.

This is not permanent, obviously, and as the season progresses plenty of attention will be paid to the Wolverines. We are also credentialed to cover the Central Michigan game against Michigan at Michigan Stadium on Sept. 13.

But since I have not been present at press conferences or player availabilities for Michigan, it just seems sensible to report from where I have been, instead, and let a beat that is comfortably the most-staffed of the five churn along as is.
